Volunteering Opportunities

Curator(s)

Should be available during the programme selection phase (usually Spring/Summer of each year) and for the second-round after post-production for quality control of videos before they are uploaded to TEDx YouTube. Involved in decision making and selection of all speakers, performances and stage host(s).

Speaker Coaches

Should be available during the speaker selection process and for the duration in the run up to the Annual Conference (held in November each year). Responsibility to work with speakers to provide coaching on developing their idea, gathering content and crafting scripts, finding appropriate and effective visuals (e.g. slides or props), and in rehearsals. They must have very good rhetorical skills, coaching skills or experience and experience in public speaking.

Programmes Team

Responsible for selecting interesting speakers, performers and a stage host and choosing interesting sessions for the TEDxLivestream from the annual TED conference (Spring each year). They are also responsible for the management of speakers including contracts, special requirements and writing of speaker introductions.

Producer(s)

Should co-ordinate with the production company to deliver all materials required for an effective show, including slides, videos, introduction slides, run-down and framing, and co-ordinate soundchecks with speakers, performers and stage host. Producers also perform the first round of post-production.

HR Co-ordinators

HR team members are responsible for onboarding and offboarding of team members and should be a trusted go-to-person for staff. They will also provide letters of appreciation, recommendation or references when required and ensure that the organization complies with GDPR requirements.
